We recommend using this feature when sharing an application or chrome tab. For now, presenters will not see annotations when sharing their entire screen.
In the next deployment, additional improvements will be made to the annotation tool to improve the user experience, with a new 'annotate' button being added to the UI (see attached pdf below for more details).
Client CPU optimizations Reduction of CPU / GPU usage by up to 30% on some laptops & tablets
Video recording layout settings In the recording settings of your account, you will see that you have the option to select your preferred layout. Note that this only controls the layout of the recording, not what moderators and participants see during the live meeting. By default at the moment, all recordings will be in speaker view with participant tiles not visible. This is good for many recordings where there is a main speaker and you don't want other participants visible in the recording. Gallery view for example, is good for a round table type discussion, where you may want 3-5 people all visible at once and there are no participants viewing the live meeting.
(*Note there is a small bug which prevents this layout option from showing if you don't auto-record all meetings. This will be rectified in the next release. The workaround, if you do not auto-record all meetings is as follows: select auto-record to show the layout settings > choose you preferred layout > save > deselect auto-record)
UPCOMING FEATURE RELEASES:
Unified audio rollout - Feb 4th to Feb 11th Improve audio/video sync, improve quality and enable many other features like background noise removal & peer-to-peer video calls.
