GOOGLE CALENDAR ADD-ON

Breakout Rooms

• Breakout rooms are ready for customers!
• Improvements will continue to be deployed for the next few weeks.
• Breakout rooms can be tested through your BETA Plan
• Please contact Sara or Noam to get Breakout rooms added to any of your customer plans

Virtual Backgrounds

• Flip your own video self view so text on virtual backgrounds reads properly on your own preview, “Display my video as others will see”.
• Other participants always see your video with text reading correctly, but by default all video calling applications mirror the self preview because people are used to looking at themselves in a mirror.

Past Meeting Search

• Search functionality is now built directly into the improved Past Meetings view
• Searching past meetings for people, chat messages, agendas, file names and transcripts is all supported!
• Try Gmail style search like “participant: Sara” to find all the meetings you’ve held with Sara

UPCOMING FEATURE RELEASES:

• April 22: VP9 video codec. VP9 uses much less bandwidth and performs better over poor internet connections. This should improve video quality for participants with a poor internet connection.
• April 29: Dial-out needs to be delayed to ensure breakout rooms and large meetings were completed on time. Dial-out will include merging a phone caller with a video tile! More details will be provided next week. Dial-out/Call me - allows a host to call a participant directly into a meeting via phone, or for a participant to be called by the application.
• May 6th: Private Chat. Chat privately with other participants.
• Many new features are being planned for release in May, June and July. A roadmap update will be provided next week.
