In a company meeting as a moderator, I’d like to have a quick one-on-one with a member of my team while the main meeting continues.
As a teacher or instructor, I want my students to have a better learning experience by being able to quickly meet one-on-one with a student to talk or demonstrate something using a video or screen share in a private ‘room’ and then easily return to the main room.
Only moderators can use this feature. Simply hover over the video tile of a participant and click on the ‘Instant Breakout’ icon. Both the moderator and participant will be pushed into a breakout room. Simply click ‘leave breakout room’ in the banner at the top of the window to return to the main meeting.
Present uploaded videos
Upload and present a video file to the meeting. This new "Co-watching" feature allows for higher quality video to be shared without relying on screen share. There is no file size restriction, as the video is played locally.
To use, simply drag and drop an mp4 file into the meeting or use the paperclip icon in the chat and choose the video file from your computer. Click ‘Present’ and the video will play for everyone to see and hear in the meeting.
Other Improvements
Prevent email summaries from sending if a meeting had less than 2 participants
Don't show (large) self in speaker view when there are others on the call (esp. mobile portrait)
Temporarily turn off camera when browser/app is in background (mobile device)
Make avatar image blend into the tile: Where the avatar is of a different aspect ratio to the tile, a blurred version of the avatar will show as the background.
Customisation: Allow the option for buttons in the right-hand menu to be hidden
Improved instructions for dial-in participants and additional 'Join view-only' section to 'Meet by Phone' modal
Switching cameras on iOS app doesn't work, breaks (split) audio

UPCOMING FEATURE RELEASES:
Share a second camera
Share a 2nd camera feed with the meeting. Very useful for scenarios like cooking classes that use a "pot" cam and other scenarios that use a second camera.
Speaker View Layout Options
User Story: During a meeting, as a participant or moderator, when someone is sharing their screen or when a speaker has been pinned/spotlighted, I want to be able to see all the content that is being shared but still see the video tiles of other participants.
Allow participants to change the viewing layout. There will now be three options (note that gallery view is the default and speaker view with tiles on left will be the default for screen-sharing/spotlight/pinning)
