2021 SEP 2nd - Release Update v2.6.249

v2.6.249

RELEASE NOTES:

Speaker View Layout Options - now live on all subscriptions

The new default speaker view will show tiles on the left when screen sharing so that the main content is not covered. Participants will also now have three layout options (note that gallery view is still the default when not screen sharing)

UX Enhancements

  • Un-Pin/Un-Spotlight: make it easier for a moderator to un-spotlight someone and also easier for any participant to un-pin any other participant.

SIP Gateway

  • DTMF Command * to hide/display participants tiles

  • Self tile displayed for SIP participants

  • Bug fixes to ensure the SIP gateway service works with major manufacturers’ devices and applications.

API Updates

  • As a partner who opens conference windows with window.open(), I would like to get postMessage when the participant leaves. Make Platformhelpers.isOpened and .openedLeaveEvent, use them in the same places and ways as iFrameLeaveEvent

UPCOMING FEATURE RELEASES:

Dual Monitor Support

  • Many participants in meeting rooms now have two monitors. Most meeting rooms also have two screens. Allowing users to pop out content into its own window on another screen is a big improvement to the user experience.

Content Library

  • Upload files to a content library so that you can quickly share them during a meeting.  Useful when companies and hosts have a set of common files they need to present frequently.

Share a second camera

  • Share a 2nd camera feed with the meeting. Very useful for scenarios like cooking classes that use a "pot" cam and other scenarios that use a second camera.
