This hotfix resolves a screen-sharing display issue and introduces a new in-app banner that encourages users to download the desktop app - especially important for those using Chrome or Edge version 138, which may crash during meetings. We’re also continuing to investigate reports of video freezing and are working closely with the Chromium team on a resolution.
New: Desktop App Recommendation Banner
To help prevent issues in Chrome/Edge v138, we’ve added a banner for logged-in users recommending the desktop app.

✅ Fixed Issue:
Screen share view bug: In a two-person meeting, user A shares their screen and then stops sharing. User B would no longer see User A in the center (large) view. This is now fixed.
Ongoing:
If you or your users encounter Chrome browser crashes, especially in version 138, please continue reporting them directly to the Chromium team.
Some users are still experiencing video freezing issues. Our team is investigating and will release additional fixes as soon as possible.
